TFF 2nd League team Altınordu was relegated to the 3rd League for failing to submit its 2nd League participation documents to the TFF within the specified period and for deciding not to participate in professional leagues.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has announced that it has decided to relegate the long-standing İzmir club Altınordu from the 2nd League to the 3rd League, following the club's request not to participate in professional leagues for the 2026-2027 season.

ALTINORDU RELEGATED TO THE 3RD LEAGUE

In the TFF's statement, it was emphasized that Altınordu did not upload the League Participation Form and related documents to the system within the timeframe specified by the federation. The club had decided not to participate in professional leagues at its Extraordinary General Assembly held on July 3, 2026. Accordingly, Altınordu's request was accepted, and the team was relegated from the 2nd League to the 3rd League.

FIXTURE TO BE DRAWN WITH 17 TEAMS

The federation also announced that the teams finishing in the last two places in the standings at the end of the season in the Nesine 2nd League Red Group (excluding Altınordu) will also be relegated to the 3rd League. The fixture for the Red Group, which includes Altınordu, will be drawn with 17 teams.
