The signing ceremony of the broadcasting tender for the Trendyol Super Lig and 1st Lig was held between the Turkish Football Federation and the broadcasting company beIN Media Group. Speaking at the ceremony, TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu reminded that they met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino two days ago in Paris and said, "I told him that 'FIFA does not have a representative in Istanbul', and he said, 'We really want it'. We will find a historic building and open FIFA's representation in Istanbul."
The signing ceremony of the Trendyol Super League and Trendyol 1st League Broadcast Auction between the Turkish Football Federation and the Broadcasting Institution beIN Media Group was held at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities Orhan Saka Conference Hall. Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, beIN Media Group CEO Yousef Al-Obaidly, club presidents, and invitees attended the ceremony. Speaking at the ceremony, President Hacıosmanoğlu announced FIFA's decision regarding Turkey.
HACIOSMANOĞLU: WE ARE NOT THE BOSS OF FOOTBALL
Starting his speech by reminding that the Turkish Football Federation recently went through an election, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said, "We were shown favor by the delegation's votes in an exemplary way to the world. Turkish football has needed willpower for years. Football has entered a chaotic environment because this willpower has not been put forward. We met with President Mecnun and drew a small circle. This circle grew, and today we are at this point. Turkish football needs to be served fairly, justly, impartially, and equally to everyone. We were elected by the football family to manage. We are not the boss of football. The bosses of football are the presidents and elements of amateur, 3rd League, 2nd League, 1st League, and Super League," he said.
HACIOSMANOĞLU: WE WILL INCREASE THE BRAND VALUE OF TURKISH FOOTBALL
Saying "We are servants of those who want to win sporting success on the field," Hacıosmanoğlu said, "I want those who want to win sporting success outside the field with different manipulations to know what they can encounter when they look at our past lives. We want football to be managed as an example of peace, brotherhood, and role model for our young generations. We put aside what we experienced in the past. We took off our uniforms with President Mecnun, and our whole body is red and white. The brand value of Turkish football has fallen as low as it can go. We will identify problems together with the football family, determine permanent practices together, and I believe that we will raise the brand value of Turkish football to the level it deserves," he said.
HACIOSMANOĞLU: FIFA WILL OPEN A REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN ISTANBUL
İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said, "Two days ago, we had a meeting in Paris with the invitation of the FIFA president. Infantino said, 'Turkey is a leading country, and we want it to serve as a leader in the Balkans, Turkish republics, and Africa.' I made a joke, I said, 'Napoleon said, 'If the world were a single state, Istanbul would be its capital.' I said, 'FIFA does not have a representative office in Istanbul,' he said, 'We really want it.' We will find a historic building and open FIFA's representative office in Istanbul. We will raise the brand value of Turkish football together with the football family without pride, without arrogance," he said.
AL-OBAIDLY: WE MADE THE HIGHEST BID
Yousef Al-Obaidly, CEO of beIN Media Group, who said that they will broadcast the matches in the Super League for 3 more seasons, said, "As beIN Sport, Turkey's leading broadcaster, we are pleased to continue broadcasting the Super League for 3 more seasons. I would like to thank the President of the Turkish Football Federation for this meeting and the discussions we had. In addition to that, I congratulate İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu for his presidency. We are looking forward to working with you and our team. Hopefully, we will continue to work together in a way that will benefit all clubs. We made the highest bid for the broadcasting rights of the Super League. We have been contributing for 23 years, and we will continue to do so," he said.
AL-OBAIDLY: SUPER LEAGUE WILL BE BROADCASTED IN MORE THAN 40 COUNTRIES
Emphasizing that trust is the basis of the relationship between the Turkish Football Federation, Digiturk, and the clubs, Al-Obaidly said, "As one of the biggest supporters of Turkish football, we will continue to broadcast the Super League from various countries. It will be broadcasted in more than 40 countries. The Super League is the 6th most valuable league in Europe. We will increase it even more under the leadership of İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. Piracy broadcasting threatens football not only in Turkey but also globally. We must act together to prevent this. We want to support all Turkish football and provide direct support to amateur clubs. We support 50 different amateur clubs nationwide. There are more than 1300 amateur clubs. Football is developing and inspiring at every level in Turkey. We want to increase revenues by working with the Turkish Football Federation. We have various initiatives with the work İbrahim Bey has done. In addition to that, we will contribute more to Turkish football. We are evaluating various projects with the clubs," he said.
