With the start of the summer season, price tariffs in holiday resorts have once again become a hot topic in Turkey. A bill paid by a group that went to a luxury entertainment venue in Çeşme Alaçatı, İzmir's world-famous tourism destination, caused an uproar after being shared on social media. The receipt totaling 870,150 TL received thousands of comments and sparked debate. While some users found the prices astronomical, others argued it was normal for luxury segment consumption. The most striking detail in the bill that shook the agenda was that the amount for alcoholic beverages alone was 851,800 TL.
Fırat Enuştekin "NOT HIGH PRICE, BUT LUXURY AND OSTENTATIOUS CONSUMPTION" Following the avalanche of reactions on social media, business owner Fırat Enuştekin broke his silence. Making a detailed statement about the bill that caused widespread public outcry, Enuştekin emphasized that the reason the bill reached this level was not the venue's exorbitant pricing policy, but the extreme consumption preferred by the table. Stating that the 851,000 TL portion of the bill consisted entirely of luxury alcoholic beverages, Enuştekin said, "At the table in question, a total of 49 bottles of champagne were popped and 2 bottles of 18-year-old premium whiskey were consumed. The group's food cost was around 18,000 TL. Therefore, this is not about the business applying high prices, but rather the customer's own choice of luxury and ostentatious consumption."

Enuştekin also added that the tradespeople of Çeşme work day and night with great effort to keep regional tourism alive and provide the highest quality service to their guests.
