"During this period when claims of exorbitant prices are on the agenda, the Advertising Board aims to protect consumers by preventing the manipulation of consumer preferences through the false perception of discounts created over high prices determined to be misleading, the perception that discounts are higher than reality, or that the discount is valid for such a short time that it does not allow for consideration, thereby reducing the negative impact of marketing practices that put consumer will under pressure on consumer welfare and preventing the negative impact of unfair competition on the country's economy."
