A dispute that arose within a family in Şanlıurfa turned into a gunfight. Two brothers lost their lives in the fight, while two other people were injured in the incident. It was reported that the assailant fled the scene.
In Şanlıurfa, Mahmut Çeki (33) and his brother Reşit Çeki (31), who were shot by their uncle İbrahim Halil Ç., lost their lives, and 2 others were injured.
Blood was shed in a family dispute in Şanlıurfa. The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Süleymaniye neighborhood. According to allegations, a dispute broke out between Emine Ç. and her husband İbrahim Halil Ç. for an unknown reason.
IT STARTED WITH DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, TURNED INTO A GUNFIGHT
Emine Ç., who was allegedly assaulted, sought refuge in her father's house in the Süleymaniye neighborhood. Following this, a verbal argument occurred between the two families over the phone. As the argument escalated, İbrahim Halil Çeki went to the street where his father-in-law's house was located with his gun.
Here, İbrahim Halil Ç. began to argue with his brothers-in-law, Mahmut Çeki and Reşit Çeki, who were his cousins, and fired repeatedly with the gun he drew from his waist.
TWO PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
Mahmut and Reşit Çeki, who were hit by the bullets, along with 2 others whose names are not known, were injured. The 4 injured collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, while the suspect fled the scene. Upon notification from the bystanders, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical team's examination revealed that Mahmut Çeki had lost his life.
Meanwhile, among the injured who were taken to the hospital by ambulances, Reşit Çeki could not be saved despite the doctors' intervention. It was learned that the treatment of the other two injured individuals is ongoing. Additionally, special operations teams dispatched to the area took security measures at the scene. After the police conducted their investigation at the scene, the lifeless body of Mahmut Çeki was taken to the morgue for autopsy.
