ASELSAN technicians Süleyman Cemre Kahraman and İsmail Enes Can, who were martyred in a helicopter crash in Qatar, were bid farewell on their final journey in Ankara.
A funeral ceremony was held at the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque in Çankaya following the noon prayer for the martyrs Kahraman and Can, who were martyred in a helicopter crash in Qatar.
LAST DUTY TO ASELSAN MARTYRS While the families and relatives of the martyrs received condolences, the Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş also comforted the families by being by their side.
The ceremony was attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Key Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, some force commanders, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün, AK Party Deputy Chairmen Kürşad Zorlu and Ömer İleri, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, some members of parliament, political party representatives, military officials from Qatar, and many citizens also participated.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN SENT A WREATH The wreath sent by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was also placed in the courtyard of the Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque. The martyrs' bodies were placed in the funeral vehicle accompanied by takbirs after the funeral prayer.
The body of martyr Kahraman, carried to the funeral vehicle with a band of police, was taken to Cebeci Martyrs' Cemetery for burial, while Can's body was taken to Güdül.
