One of the bears entered a garbage container to search for food, while the other attracted attention by holding the container to keep it from tipping over and waiting beside it while keeping an eye on the surroundings. Those moments were captured second by second by local citizens on their mobile phone cameras.
In the incident that broke the night's silence, the brown bears, believed to have been hungry, came down to the city center. The footage shows one bear comfortably entering the garbage container and staying inside for a long time to find food. The other bear stood by the container, both balancing it and carefully watching the area, leading viewers to comment that it was 'almost standing guard.'
The bear eating food inside the container occasionally came out to check the surroundings. Its relaxed demeanor as it then re-entered the container did not go unnoticed.
THE SAME SCENE EVERY NIGHT
Ahmet Çetinkaya, stating that the bears come down to the district center in Sarıkamış at night, said, 'Bears always come down to the garbage containers in Sarıkamış center. At night, bears usually come down to the district in large numbers. Whether they are cubs or adults, they rummage through the trash.'
Meanwhile, it is known that wild animals in Sarıkamış, particularly struggling to find food in winter and spring, occasionally descend into residential areas.
After filling their stomachs, the two brown bears roamed the area for a while and then disappeared from sight, heading back toward the forested area.
