Nevide Çiçek (23), who started playing football in middle school, did not give up her passion for football despite being crowned a beauty queen and acting in TV series and films. This season, Çiçek, who took to the green fields with 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football Club, has now been elected president of the men's football team, Çakallıklı Spor. While sweating on the field for her own team, Çiçek is also working for the success of the club she presides over.

Living in Istanbul, Nevide Çiçek began playing football with her male friends on the school field during her middle school years. With her love for football, Çiçek threw herself onto the green fields at a young age, starting her football career at Güzeltepe Doğu Gençlik ve Spor. After playing professionally for a while, Nevide Çiçek also began modeling and acting.

In 2021, Çiçek represented Turkey in the Miss Tourism Universe pageant held in Lebanon, where she won her first queen crown. In 2022, she was crowned beauty queen at The Queen of Eurasia Beauty Pageant, and in recent months, she won third place among contestants from 25 different countries at the Miss Eurasia Beauty Pageant held in Moscow, Russia. Çiçek, who also acts in series and films, could not break away from her love for football.

SHE WAS ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE MEN'S FOOTBALL TEAM

Wanting to carry her success from the catwalks to the green fields, Nevide Çiçek transferred to 1207 Antalyaspor Women's Football Club for the new season. Sweating for the success of her team, which is currently undefeated and in second place in the Women's 1st League, Çiçek was recently elected president of the men's football team, Çakallıklı Spor, competing in the Antalya Super Amateur League. As the only female president in the league, Nevide Çiçek closely follows the training sessions of the team she presides over in her spare time from her own training.

As one of the youngest female presidents, Çiçek gathers information about the team from the coaches during the training sessions she attends. Nevide Çiçek also wants to work with a female coach in the team. Communicating one-on-one with the players during the training sessions she follows, Çiçek trusts her team.

'I AM IN LOVE WITH FOOTBALL'

Stating that her passion for football started from childhood, Nevide Çiçek said, "I started playing football in middle school. Since then, I have developed myself and finally transferred to Antalya. Now, a very beautiful project has come my way, and I wanted to evaluate it. We want to take our team to beautiful places and prepare very well for the upcoming season. I love football; I am almost in love with it. I want to show that women also have a place in football. This time, I have ventured into men's football."

'I WANT TO BRING A FEMALE COACH'

Çiçek, who wants to show that women can also be successful as managers in football, stated, "We will do beautiful things. I am very happy to be here. I try to attend matches and training sessions. When I can't come, I follow from afar. Today, I wanted to get to know the team. Our team is quite strong and ambitious. We will reach beautiful places. We want to take our team to the best places in the new season. Our team is very strong, and our coaches are very good. I will show my love for football this season. I am a person in love with football. When I have my own matches, I trust our coaches and my team. I also want to bring in a female coach," she said.
