The couple, who disappeared two weeks ago, had gone to Capas in Tarlac for a property deal. When their vehicle was found burnt, a search was initiated and their bodies were discovered following a tip-off. The autopsy determined that the couple had been killed by gunshot. Four suspects have been arrested.

INFORMANT REPORTS TO THE POLICE

The couple had set off to the town of Capas in the Philippines on June 21 to negotiate a property deal. When their SUV was found burnt the next morning outside the village of Cristo Rey in Capas, a search was launched to find them. The police soon received a mysterious tip-off from an informant claiming to have received orders to set the car on fire.

A special search operation led to a stone quarry covered in wild grass in Capas, where the bodies of two individuals buried side by side in a shallow grave were discovered. Colonel Jean Fajardo, spokesperson for the Philippine National Police, said, "The informant was the one who led us to the grave. Without them, we would still be searching."

THEY WERE KILLED WITH A GUN

An autopsy revealed that the couple died from gunshot wounds. Four suspects, including two dismissed police officers facing charges of illegal possession of firearms, were arrested. It was reported that the couple had contacted police officer Michael Angelo Guiang to act as their intermediary for the land purchase.

Colonel Jean said, "We have a clear indication as to why these two victims were killed. We have leads and we know who the masterminds behind their deaths are." The police are refraining from making further comments while the investigation is ongoing.
