A high school student in Denizli, Burak K., accidentally shot his 15-year-old girlfriend in the head while playing with an unlicensed shotgun. The girl lost her life, and Burak K., who fled the house in fear after the incident, was caught by the gendarmerie in the mountains. In his first statement, Burak K. said, "I pointed the gun at her face as a joke. Zahra Jahani said, 'You can't do that.' I thought it was empty, so I pulled the trigger, and the gun fired suddenly."

In Denizli, a high school student accidentally shot his Iranian girlfriend in the head while playing with his father's unlicensed shotgun. The 15-year-old girl lost her life, while the child who fled the scene was caught in the mountains.

The incident occurred yesterday around 5:00 PM in the Akköy neighborhood of Pamukkale district. According to the information obtained, Burak K. (15), a high school student, invited his Iranian girlfriend Zahra Jahani (15) to his home while he was alone in the house with his family.

THE GUN FIRED SUDDENLY

It is alleged that while the three friends were sitting in the house, Burak K. brought his father's unlicensed shotgun from the room to play with it, and the gun suddenly fired. The pellets from the shotgun hit Zahra Jahani in the head. Seeing her sister collapse to the ground in a pool of blood, Jahani's sister ran outside, screaming, "He killed my sister." Panicking in fear, Burak K. fled the house.

HER DEATH WAS CONFIRMED

Neighbors who heard the child's screams and the gunshot reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area. The health teams that arrived at the scene determined that Jahani, who had been shot in the head, had lost her life. After the investigation conducted by the teams at the scene, Jahani's body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution of Denizli for autopsy.

CAUGHT BY GENDARMERIE ON KARAKAYA MOUNTAIN

After fleeing the house, Burak K. was caught and detained by gendarmerie teams on Karakaya Mountain, approximately 4 kilometers away from the house.
