The districts of Göle and Hanak in Ardahan became the coldest settlement centers in Turkey. Some people who went outside in minus 23 degrees had their eyebrows and eyelashes frozen.
Due to the freezing cold affecting Ardahan, icicles exceeding 2 meters formed in the city center.
After the snowfall, the districts of Göle and Hanak in Ardahan, which were under the influence of Siberian cold, became some of the coldest settlement centers in Turkey. While the lowest temperature at night in Göle was measured at minus 23, thermometers in the center and Hanak district showed minus 19.7. Throughout the city, roads, sidewalks, and vehicles were covered with ice, and large icicles formed on building roofs.
BLANKETS WERE COVERED ON VEHICLES
In the morning hours, citizens wanting to go to work experienced difficult moments, while some citizens' eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair froze. It was also observed that some citizens covered their vehicles with materials such as blankets and rugs.
