The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the claims of food poisoning related to the disturbances in the courthouse cafeteria do not reflect the truth. In the statement, it was reported that no food poisoning was detected in the examinations conducted.

The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office denied the allegations of food poisoning related to the disturbances in the courthouse cafeteria.

The İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office made a statement regarding the claims of "suspected food poisoning at the İzmir Courthouse." In the statement made by the prosecutor's office, it was noted that 780 people had lunch in the courthouse cafeteria on Tuesday, and the next day, 58 people applied to the courthouse medical service due to illness.

"NO FINDINGS RELATED TO FOOD POISONING WERE DETECTED"

In the statement, it was mentioned that 35 of those who fell ill had eaten in the courthouse cafeteria, while 23 had not. It was recorded that no findings related to food poisoning were detected in the examinations and tests of 7 personnel who were referred to the hospital from the courthouse medical service.

"NO NEGATIVE SITUATION HAS BEEN DETECTED"

In the statement, it was emphasized that no findings related to food poisoning were detected in 11 personnel who directly applied to health institutions. The statement included the following remarks: "All units where water, food, and beverages are served, especially the warehouses, kitchen, and dining halls of our courthouse cafeteria, are regularly evaluated by the Provincial Health Directorate and the Konak District Agriculture Directorate. All analyses related to the daily samples taken are conducted regularly. In the evaluations and sample analysis studies conducted so far, no negative situation has been detected in any way. In this context, necessary evaluations and sample studies were promptly and meticulously carried out in all units where water, food, and beverages are served, including our kitchen and tea houses on Tuesday, and there is no finding related to food poisoning."

The statement noted that norovirus was detected in the samples taken from personnel who applied to health institutions.

It was stated that this virus can be transmitted through contact between individuals or contaminated surfaces. The statement concluded with the following: "As the İzmir Courthouse, we will continue to effectively take and meticulously implement measures to protect the health of all our courthouse employees and citizens, just as we have done until now."
