WHAT HAPPENED?

Saylak had run as a candidate for the Milas Municipality from the AK Party in 2019, but the election was won by the CHP candidate Muhammet Tokat. After the election, Barış Saylak began his duties as the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry and had resigned for candidacy for the Milas Municipality ahead of the 2024 local elections. Barış Saylak, who was not nominated, returned to his position, tearfully bidding farewell, and expressed his gratitude to Aydın Ayaydın, the AK Party's candidate for Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, saying, "I express my gratitude and thanks for their efforts and support."
