After the match against Everton, Liverpool's head coach Arne Slot, who received a two-match ban from the bench due to a dispute with the referee, will begin serving his suspension starting from the Newcastle United match.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The 46-year-old Dutch coach was shown a red card by referee Michael Oliver after the thrilling match in which they drew 2-2 against Everton at Goodison Park.
It was alleged that he and assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff "engaged in inappropriate conduct and/or exhibited insulting and/or derogatory words or behavior" towards the match officials. Hulshoff also accepted the accusation and will serve a two-match ban from the bench alongside Slot, starting from the Newcastle United match.
ON THE BENCH FOR THE PSG MATCH
Slot will be able to return to the bench on March 6 for the first leg of the quarter-finals against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, which does not affect his suspension as it is a UEFA organization. However, he will serve the second match of his suspension in the Premier League match against Southampton on March 8.
