The Ministry of National Defense released a video featuring the statements of child terrorists who were kidnapped and forcibly used by the PKK/YPG. The statement emphasized that the organization abducts children through lies, threats, and blackmail, and that children are forcibly taken away under various false pretenses. The child terrorists recounted that those who wanted to escape were tortured, that Syrian children were deceived with claims of "fighting against ISIS," and that they were exploited by the leaders.

The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) released a video containing the confessions of child terrorists who were forcibly abducted by the armed terrorist organization PKK/YPG and used in the organization's activities. Sharing the footage on its social media account, the MSB reminded the child terrorists, who have fallen into the hands of terrorist organizations through lies, that their only salvation is to seek justice by saying, "Surrender." In the video, one of the children, who stated he was 16 years old, said that the terrorists told him, "There were those who wanted to escape. When they caught them, they tortured and oppressed them. The conditions were very difficult; I had no choice. They tortured those who were caught and imprisoned them for life." Another child was told, "If you do not kill Turkish soldiers, they will kill you and destroy you."

"THEIR ONLY SALVATION IS TO SEEK JUSTICE"

In a statement regarding the released video, the MSB said, "The images you will watch consist of the statements of child terrorists who were abducted by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG through immoral means such as lies, threats, blackmail, and torture, and who were forcibly used in the organization's activities. Reports published by the UN Human Rights Commission in 2022 reveal that thousands of children have been forcibly abducted by the terrorist organization, held for terrorist activities, and even exploited by the organization's leadership."

The statements of the surrendered child terrorists reveal that the PKK/YPG is one of the most despicable terrorist organizations in the world, and many terrorists like them also want to escape and seek refuge in the Republic of Turkey. Our struggle against terrorist organizations, especially PKK/PYD/YPG/SDG, will continue with determination and resolve until the days when the children in our region are no longer abducted by terrorist organizations. For this reason, we remind those who have fallen into the hands of terrorist organizations through lies that their only salvation is to seek justice by saying, "Surrender."

"ALL THE CHILDREN WANT TO COME BACK"

"I am 16 years old. An unknown person told my family that the Turkish soldiers harmed them. He talked to me and convinced me for that. When I heard that it was not true, I wanted to escape in the second month. There are always difficulties there. We took a shower every two weeks. Sometimes there was no food for a month because of the drones. They deceive the children in Syria by saying they are fighting against ISIS and bring them here. They frequently travel to and from Syria. They bring all the ammunition from Syria. From there, they take most people to the mountains. The organization deceives them. They force them to stay there. They deceive them by saying that the Turkish soldiers will kill them. I mean, I came here, and I feel at home. Nothing is as they say. I want all of them to pursue their children and take them home. Because they all want to go home. No news reaches the children. All the children want to come back."

"THE TURKISH STATE DOES NOT TORTURE US, DOES NOT HARM US"

"I am 16 years old; two civilians came and took me. They took me to a training camp where I received training for 4 months. Then I came to Iraq. There were those who wanted to escape. When they caught them, they tortured and oppressed them. The conditions were very difficult; I had no choice. They tortured those who were caught and imprisoned them for life. The night guards open caves with a hilti, and those who have nothing to do throw dirt next to the hilti. The participation in the organization is very low from Turkey; the most participation is from Syria and Iraq. They always spoke with voice recordings, saying, 'Fight like this against the Turkish soldiers,' 'If you do not kill them, they will kill you and destroy you.' I missed my family very much; I wanted to go to my family. They did not let me, and I was always crying. Everything the organization said was a lie. They said, 'The Turkish soldiers will kill you, will torture you,' all lies. There is no such thing; the Turkish soldiers did not do such a thing. Come and surrender to the Turkish state. The Turkish state does not torture us in any way, does not harm us. Contrary to what the organization says, they treat us well, they are compassionate."
