It was claimed that the security system of the apartment where billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being tried for allegedly running a prostitution ring for underage girls in the U.S., lived was set up by the Israeli government.

The non-profit news site Drop Site News claimed that, according to a series of emails recently published by the U.S. Department of Justice, the security systems installed in the apartment where Epstein stayed during his visits to New York were placed there by the Israeli government.

The site's report stated that the mentioned security equipment began to be installed in building number 301 on 66th Street in Manhattan, where former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak frequently stayed, in early 2016.

MEETING WITH ISRAELI SECURITY OFFICIALS

The report indicated that in the email correspondence shared by the Department, it was expressed that Epstein personally approved the installation of the equipment and allowed meetings to be held between his staff and Israeli security officials.

SECURITY WORK LASTED 2 YEARS

The emails revealed that the security work in the apartment where Ehud Barak stayed continued for at least two years and that officials from Israel's Permanent Mission to the United Nations regularly corresponded with Epstein's staff regarding security.

The site's report, which described its staff as "neutral and anti-establishment," also included information that the apartments in the building were frequently rented to individuals connected to Epstein and were used to accommodate underage models.

BARAK-EPSTEIN CONNECTION MADE HEADLINES

Following reports of Epstein's suicide in a Manhattan jail in 2019, it was reflected in the news that Barak had met with the billionaire businessman several times. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that Barak's close relationship with Epstein, who was his rival, weakened rather than strengthened his ties with Israel.
