The US-Israel and Iran war continues on its 8th day. As tensions rise in the region day by day, a noteworthy statement regarding the TRNC came from the Ministry of National Defense.
In a statement made by sources from the Ministry of National Defense, it was stated, "In light of recent developments, gradual planning is being made to ensure the security of the TRNC. The deployment of F-16 aircraft to the island is one of the evaluated matters."
THE BASE IN THE GREEK CYPRIOT ADMINISTRATION HAD BEEN HIT
The British base Akrotiri, located in the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA), was targeted by an Iranian drone on March 2.
The UK Ministry of Defense announced that the drone that fell on the base's runway did not cause any casualties, injuries, or significant material damage, while it was reported that two drones heading towards the base were intercepted.
"WE WILL NOT LAUNCH MISSILES AT THOSE WHO DO NOT ATTACK IRAN"
On the other hand, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized regarding the missiles that fell in Turkey and Azerbaijan. In a video message broadcast on state television, Pezeshkian said, "I apologize to neighboring countries. We have no enmity with the countries in our region. We will not launch missiles at those who do not attack Iran."
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with many high-ranking officials, was killed.
Iran's Health Ministry Spokesperson Hossein Kermanpur announced that 926 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
