Following the knife attack in which teacher Fatma Nur Çelik lost her life in Çekmeköy, the investigation has led to the suspension of District National Education Director Mustafa Akhan and school principal Fatih Polat.
A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding biology teacher Fatma Nur Çelik, who lost her life as a result of a knife attack by a student in the Çekmeköy district of Istanbul.
TWO NAMES SUSPENDED FROM DUTY
As part of the investigation, Çekmeköy District National Education Director Mustafa Akhan and the principal of Taşdelen Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Fatih Polat, have been suspended from duty.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the incident that took place on March 2 at Taşdelen Borsa Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, 11th-grade student F.S.B. (17) injured teachers Fatma Nur Çelik and Z.A. (52) as well as student S.K. (15) with a knife. The severely injured biology teacher Fatma Nur Çelik passed away in the hospital to which she was taken.
After the incident, student F.S.B., who was detained by police teams, was arrested by the court he was brought to and sent to prison. The judicial and administrative investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
