MORE THAN 3,000 HOUSES BECAME UNUSABLE
In a statement from the ministry, it was noted that a comprehensive study was initiated in Nusaybin, where more than 3,000 houses and workplaces became unusable during the terrorist incidents in 2015-2016. Following the works carried out by the Urban Transformation Directorate and the Housing Development Administration (TOKİ) affiliated with the ministry, it was reported that 5,051 houses, 550 workplaces, 5 mosques, 3 schools, and 4 condolence houses were built in the district.
THE DISTRICT HAS RISEN AGAIN
It was explained that the houses and workplaces were constructed in accordance with earthquake regulations and based on local architecture, and that the infrastructure was renewed to create playgrounds, fields, social facilities, and green areas. Additionally, the statement included a post made by Minister Kurum on his social media account regarding the new situation of the district.

Kurum stated in the post: "Nusaybin shines like a star. While building a Turkey without terrorism, we are erasing the traces of terrorism from every aspect of life, from our cities. We achieved this in Nusaybin. We have revitalized our district by building 5,000 houses with an architecture suitable for Nusaybin, neighborhood by neighborhood. Today, our homes in Nusaybin are not just buildings; they are also a symbol of our brotherhood."
"OUR STATE DID NOT MAKE US VICTIMS"
The images shared included the opinions of citizens from the district. Faysal Özçelik, who expressed his views in the footage, said, "The state did not make us victims. The people of Nusaybin suffered a lot. We were devastated, we migrated. Then, directors from Mardin Urbanization came for assessments, and commissions were established. They did not make us victims. They built playgrounds. Our houses are solid, they have natural gas and internet. The park here is wonderful, the public benefits from it. The bad days have passed, beautiful days have come. Now we are very satisfied."
