Yesterday, 42 people, including journalist and TİP Party Council member İrfan Değirmenci, who was detained in Kadıköy for "violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations," have been released.
At the "Equal Life and Free Existence" event organized by the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) in Kadıköy Yoğurtçu Park, 42 people, including journalist and TİP Party Council member İrfan Değirmenci, were detained. The 42 individuals were taken to court after being detained by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations."
THEY WERE RELEASED
In a statement made by TİP regarding the matter, it was reported that Değirmenci and his companions were released. The statement included, "Our Party Council members İrfan Değirmenci, Ilgaz Özer, and our comrades who were detained yesterday in Kadıköy, Istanbul, have been released. We thank all our people who did not withhold their solidarity and raised their voices against injustice. Our struggle for an equal and free life will continue."
