In the Başkale district of Van, driver Cemil Çiçek lost his life when a light commercial vehicle veered out of control on a plateau road and rolled into a ravine.
The driver of a light commercial vehicle that rolled into a ditch in Van's Başkale district, Cemil Çiçek (65), lost his life. The accident occurred around 18:00 yesterday on the plateau road near the Kırbalı neighborhood of Başkale district.
HE HAD SET OUT TO GO TO THE PLATEAU
The light commercial vehicle, driven by Cemil Çiçek who had set out to go to the plateau, went out of control and rolled into a ditch. The vehicle was wrecked in the accident, and health, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Under the teams' control, it was determined that the driver Cemil Çiçek had lost his life.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE ACCIDENT
After examinations at the scene, Çiçek's lifeless body was taken to Başkale State Hospital morgue for autopsy. It was learned that after the autopsy procedures, the body would be buried in Kırbalı neighborhood. An investigation has been launched into the accident.
