In the Gürpınar district of Van, shepherd Musa Tunç lost his life and his 16-year-old son Yusuf Tunç was injured when a car swerved to avoid hitting a flock of sheep and struck them. In the Gürpınar district of Van, a car that maneuvered to avoid hitting a sheep flock struck shepherd Musa Tunç (52) and his son Yusuf Tunç (16). MANEUVERED TO AVOID HITTING THE SHEEP FLOCK
The accident occurred near the Yolaşan neighborhood in the Gürpınar district. According to information obtained, the car with license plate 34 EAP 512, driven by Lawyer Ümran Kaya who was reportedly returning from Van, maneuvered to avoid hitting a sheep flock that appeared in front of it while traveling on the Van-Gürpınar highway.

During the maneuver, the car went out of control and struck shepherd Musa Tunç and his son Yusuf Tunç. Upon notification from those who witnessed the accident, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
MUSA TUNÇ LOST HIS LIFE
Musa Tunç, 52, who was seriously injured in the accident, could not be saved despite all interventions by health teams. The injured Yusuf Tunç, 16, was taken to Van Regional Training and Research Hospital for treatment after initial first aid.

Following the accident, it was learned that the car driver, Lawyer Ümran Kaya, was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams. It drew attention that Kaya is the daughter of AK Party Hakkari Provincial Chairman Zeydin Kaya.
