The drug investigation being conducted in Istanbul is expanding. Following the detention of Selen Görgüzel, who was eliminated from Survivor and returned to Turkey, actor Can Yaman was also detained during searches conducted at nightclubs as part of the investigation.
In the context of the drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous raids were carried out on 6 entertainment venues, including Bebek Hotel and Klein Phönix in Beşiktaş. During the operation, it was claimed that actor Can Yaman was detained.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION ON 6 ENTERTAINMENT VENUES
As part of the drug investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a simultaneous operation was conducted at 6 nightclubs located in different parts of Istanbul. It was learned that searches were conducted at the establishments, including Klein Phönix in Beşiktaş and Bebek Hotel.
POLICE AND GENDARMERIE TEAMS PARTICIPATED IN THE OPERATION
In the raids conducted with the participation of police and gendarmerie teams, detailed examinations were carried out at the mentioned venues. It was stated that the teams were working on various evidence during the operation.
CAN YAMAN WAS DETAINED
According to information shared by journalist Burak Doğan; during the searches conducted by the police at the nightclubs, the famous actor Can Yaman was also detained.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
It was reported that the investigation is ongoing in multiple dimensions and that the examinations within the scope of the operation are continuing. Official statements from the authorities are awaited.
PREVIOUS DETENTIONS HAD OCCURRED
On the other hand, previously, Selen Görgüzel, Ayşe Sağlam, Nilüfer Batur Tokgöz, and Ceren Alper had also been detained as part of the same investigation.
Singer Selen Görgüzel, the ex-wife of Hamdi Alkan, participated in the "Survivor" competition and returned to Turkey after being eliminated. Görgüzel was detained as part of a drug and prostitution investigation.
WHAT HAPPENED?
In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, detention orders were issued for many individuals, including famous names, for the crimes of "possessing drugs or stimulants for personal use," "facilitating drug use," and "encouraging someone to engage in prostitution, facilitating the means for it, or mediating or providing a place for prostitution."
