INJURED YOUTH'S HEALTH CONDITION REMAINS SERIOUS
The accident occurred around midnight on Park Street in Hamidiye Neighborhood. The motorcycle with license plate 16 BYE 279, driven by Tuğra U. (17), collided with a car with license plate 16 BLR 829, driven by Mert Can G. (24), coming from the opposite direction. Due to the impact, the motorcycle overturned, and the driver, Tuğra U., was thrown onto the road and seriously injured. After the accident, the car driver fled the scene without stopping. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The seriously injured young driver was taken to İnegöl State Hospital by ambulance after initial medical intervention. It was learned that the injured person's health condition remains serious.
BUMPER AND LICENSE PLATE REMAINED AT THE SCENE
After the accident, police teams investigating the scene found the car's bumper and license plate. Based on the obtained information, teams reached the driver's address and caught Mert Can G. in front of his residence, taking him into custody. In the breathalyzer test administered to the driver, it was determined that he had 1.30 promil alcohol. Accordingly, the driver was fined a total of 71,000 TL administrative penalties, consisting of 25,000 TL for drunk driving and 46,000 TL for fleeing the scene.
Additionally, the driver's license was confiscated for 6 months, and he was taken to the police station to give his statement.
