An eagle that attacked four people in the central and southern regions of Norway in the past week has been killed by authorities. The latest victim of the unusual aggressive behavior displayed by the eagle was a 20-month-old baby. According to Norway's state television NRK, the eagle attacked a 20-month-old baby playing in a farmyard during the latest attack on Saturday. The baby's mother and a neighbor fought to drive the eagle away. The Director of Wildlife Protection, who arrived at the scene, euthanized the dangerous eagle. The baby who was attacked suffered stitches on the face. The baby's father said, "We didn't understand where the eagle came from. We fought for a long time to protect our child." Experts suggest that the eagle's unusual behavior may be due to a behavioral disorder. Eagle expert Alv Ottar Folkestad from BirdLife Norge stated, "Such attacks are extremely rare for golden eagles." Last week, three adults were also attacked by the eagle. Courier Francis Ari Sture described the attack he experienced during a walk, saying, "If I didn't have my backpack, the situation could have been much worse." Another victim, Mariann Myrvang, said, "I couldn't stand when the eagle landed on my shoulder." Authorities warned residents of the area to be cautious and stated that measures would be taken to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
