Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, relevant ministers, and AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler will hold a meeting this Wednesday or Thursday regarding the minimum pension amount of 18,939 TL. The meeting will evaluate the impact analysis of the regulation and its budget implications.

It is expected that Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, and AK Party Parliamentary Group Chairman Abdullah Güler will hold a meeting this week regarding the lowest pension amount.

According to the information obtained, the meeting is planned to take place on Wednesday or Thursday. It is stated that evaluations regarding the lowest pension amount at the level of 18,939 TL will be discussed in the meeting.

IMPACT ANALYSIS AND BUDGET REFLECTION ON THE TABLE

AK Party sources reported that impact analyses related to the regulation and its reflection on the budget will be evaluated in the meeting. After the evaluations, it is expected that the steps to be taken regarding the lowest pension amount will become clearer.

DECEMBER INFLATION ANNOUNCED

According to the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December 2025 period was realized as 0.89% on a monthly basis and 30.89% on an annual basis.

18.60% INCREASE FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYEES AND RETIRED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES

According to TÜİK data, the 6-month inflation difference for public employees and retired public employees was 6.85%. When an 11% collective bargaining increase is added to this difference, the salary increase for public employees and retired public employees for the first 6 months of 2026 is calculated to be 18.60%.

12.19% INCREASE FOR SSK AND BAĞ-KUR RETIREES

The increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees has been determined as 12.19%.
