A new development has emerged regarding the death of Emrah Elveren, who went missing in Yalova in 2021. The DNA results of the bones, hair, and fabric pieces found during the excavation at the home of his colleague Ahmet Ş, who was arrested live on air on charges of murdering Elveren, have been revealed. It has been determined that the bone and dental findings belong to Elveren.
In the village of Örencik, located in the Altınova district of Yalova, a missing person report was filed for Emrah Elveren (34), who went missing in 2021 while staying with a relative. Elveren's family participated in a television program and mentioned suspicions of murder. The suspicions initially pointed to his cousins and later to his colleague Ahmet Ş.
COLLEAGUE ARRESTED
Following the allegations, a warrant for the arrest and detention of the missing person's friend Ahmet Ş. was issued by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation initiated. The suspect was taken into custody on June 4, 2025, during a television program. The suspect, who was referred to the judicial authorities, was arrested.
BONES FOUND IN THE GARDEN BELONGED TO EMRAH
On June 5, 2025, a search conducted by the Yalova Provincial Gendarmerie Command Crime Scene Investigation Team and the Gendarmerie Criminal Investigation Team (JASAT) in the garden of the suspect Ahmet Ş.'s house in Bursa resulted in the discovery of bones, hair, and fabric pieces.
According to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute, a comparison of the evidence found in the garden and DNA samples taken from the family of the missing person revealed that the bone and dental findings belonged to the missing person Emrah Elveren.
