The English newspaper Mirror included a striking comment about Turkey in an article evaluating the recent conflicts. The newspaper predicted that the war in the region could escalate, stating that Turkey would fight on the side of Iran, China, and Russia against Israel and its Western allies in such a war.
The conflict process that began with the Gaza massacre in the Middle East has evolved into a different dimension with Israel's attacks on Lebanon and Syria. As missiles fired from Iran towards Israel were added to this situation, comments about a regional war began to emerge. A British newspaper made a striking comment on this issue. According to a report in the Mirror, it was stated that Israel received support from Western countries, including the USA and the UK, against Iran's armed elements.
WHO STANDS BY WHOM?
The report included a list of which countries would support Israel and which would support Iran in the event of an escalation of the conflict into a global war. Accordingly, Israel, whose ties with the USA date back to the recognition decision of former President Harry S. Truman, has gained strong allies across a wide spectrum, primarily the USA. It was predicted with certainty that the UK and the European Union would also stand by Israel. This prediction was based on the UK's intense commercial and military ties with European countries. It was also emphasized that Western countries, especially the UK and the USA, share the same perspective as Israel regarding Iran.
"RUSSIA, CHINA, TURKEY"
The Mirror's report also mentioned which countries might support Iran. It was noted that "Iran has managed to establish a support network with Russia, China, and Turkey in response to the USA, EU, and UK alliance against Israel." The report highlighted that both Russia and Iran have been subjected to sanctions from the West and that the two countries have built strategic relations. Similarly, it was emphasized that China has sought to meet its energy needs through Iran in response to increasing production, and for this reason, it has signed various agreements and contracts with Tehran.
IS IT A NEW PERCEPTION OPERATION?
It was striking that no details were provided about Turkey, which is mentioned among the countries that would support Iran in a potential major war. The British newspaper's report recalled Turkey's removal from the F-35 program after purchasing S-400 missiles from Russia, followed by calls for Turkey's expulsion from NATO. It was interpreted as a product of the discussions surrounding the so-called axis shift towards Turkey.
