The central exam sessions of the High School Transition System (LGS) for 1 million 38 thousand students have been completed. The Ministry of National Education has published the exam questions and answer keys on its website. The results of the exam, which the students who wish to participate have taken, will be announced on June 28th. Students who did not take the exam will be placed in high schools through local placement.

The central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS) was held today with the participation of 1 million 38 thousand students. The first session of the two-session exam, which started at 09.30, and the second session, which started at 11.30, have been completed.

BOTH SESSIONS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED

The first session of the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (LGS), organized by the Ministry of National Education for 8th grade students, ended at 10.45. Students entered the second session at 11.30 and it will end at 12.50.

The central exam was held in 62,663 halls in 3,891 schools in 973 exam centers in the country and in 35 halls in 11 schools abroad.

The exam preparation was carried out taking into account 1,038,192 students studying in the 8th grade this year. Necessary measures were taken for 82 visually impaired and 292 partially sighted students. In addition, 187 students with special conditions took the exam at home or in the hospital.

HOW WILL STUDENTS WHO DO NOT TAKE THE EXAM BE PLACED IN HIGH SCHOOLS?

While students who want to take the LGS central exam take the exam, students who do not take the exam will be placed in high schools through local placement.

Last year, due to earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, only questions from the first semester subjects were asked in the LGS central exam. This year, all subjects covered according to the 8th grade exam date were included in the exam.

STUDENTS SOLVED 90 QUESTIONS IN TWO SESSIONS

The central exam was completed in two sessions. In the exam, 90 multiple-choice questions were asked.

The first session of the exam consisted of 50 verbal questions and lasted 75 minutes. In the first session, questions were asked about 8th grade Turkish, Turkish Republic history and Kemalism, religious culture and ethics, and foreign language.

The second session consisted of 40 numerical questions. In this session, which gave students 80 minutes, questions were asked from mathematics and science courses.

When calculating the exam score, the raw score of each student for each subtest will be found by subtracting one-third of the number of wrong answers from the number of correct answers.

STUDENTS ENTERED SCHOOLS HUGGING THEIR FAMILIES

After hugging their families and having their final conversations about the exam, the students entered the schools after the security checks.

Students, who are allowed to have a photo ID, a valid ID card, at least two dark black and soft graphite pencils, a pencil sharpener, and a soft eraser that does not leave marks, were admitted to the exam halls after the checks made by the officials.
