Following the incidents that occurred after the derby match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, an investigation was launched. As part of this investigation, Fenerbahçe Club Doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahçe executive Hulusi Belgü, and Fenerbahçe Coach İsmail Kartal's son Emre Kartal have been placed under judicial control measures, including a travel ban and the requirement to sign in at the police station twice a month.
