Following the incidents that occurred after the derby match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, an investigation was launched. As part of this investigation, Fenerbahçe Club Doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahçe executive Hulusi Belgü, and Fenerbahçe Coach İsmail Kartal's son Emre Kartal have been placed under judicial control measures, including a travel ban and the requirement to sign in at the police station twice a month.
The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incidents that occurred after the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match continues. As part of the investigation, Fenerbahçe Club doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former executive Hulusi Belgü, and Emre Kartal came to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to give their statements.
The suspects, whose procedures at the Press Crimes Investigation Bureau lasted for about 4 hours, were referred to the peace criminal judge with a request for judicial control. The suspects were escorted by the courthouse's private security guards through the fire escape to the peace criminal judge's office to prevent the press from taking their pictures. Meanwhile, a fire alarm went off in the courthouse.
After completing the procedures at the Istanbul Peace Criminal Judge's Office, Karanlık, Belgü, and Kartal were subjected to judicial control measures, including a travel ban and signing at the police station twice a month.
The Istanbul Governorship had announced that legal action had been taken against 5 individuals who attempted to assault Stadium Manager A.Ç. following the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe match, in accordance with the instructions of the Press and Sports Prosecutor, and that the identification of those involved in the incidents inside the stadium was still ongoing. As part of the investigation, Fenerbahçe Club doctor Ertuğrul Karanlık, former Fenerbahçe executive Hulusi Belgü, and İsmail Kartal's son Emre Kartal were summoned to the prosecutor's office to give their statements.
