One of the beloved names of Arabesque music, Güllü, passed away after falling from the balcony of her home in Çınarcık, Yalova. Her son announced the tragic news on his social media account, stating, "We have lost my mother, the esteemed artist Güllü, due to a tragic accident that occurred last night. The news of suicide circulating on social media is false."
The powerful voice of Arabesque music, Güllü, has received sad news for her fans. The 51-year-old artist fell from the balcony of her home in the Çınarcık district of Yalova and lost her life.
FAINTED AND FELL DOWN WHILE SITTING ON THE BALCONY
Güllü, who had been living in Çınarcık, Yalova for a long time, fainted and fell down while sitting on the balcony of her 6th-floor apartment with her daughter and a friend around 03:00 at night. It was reported that the famous artist lost her life at the scene.
"SUICIDE REPORTS ARE UNFOUNDED"
The famous singer's son, Tuğberk Yağız, announced the sad news through a video he shared on his social media account around 06:30. In his post, Yağız stated: "I am sharing this message to convey sad news. We have lost my mother, the valuable artist Güllü, due to a tragic accident that occurred last night. The suicide reports circulating on social media are unfounded. I will share developments regarding the funeral here. May she rest in peace."
WHO IS GÜLLÜ?
Güllü was born in 1973 in the Kasımpaşa neighborhood of Beyoğlu, Istanbul. She took the stage at the age of 15 in 1988 by singing at wedding halls.
She gained fame in the 1990s with the Roman melodies she sang. After getting married, Güllü took a break from the stage for a while and has two children. After divorcing in 2000, Güllü returned to the stage.
