In Diyarbakır, the Jandarma Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) worked for 4 days to solve the murder of Remzi Sati and his son Muhammet Sati, who were killed by being burned with cologne. A total of 7 people were detained in connection with the incident, and the details of the murder caused shock.

On May 19th, in the early hours of the morning, the lifeless bodies of 49-year-old Remzi Sati and his 15-year-old son Muhammed were found inside a burned truck in the Kuşburnu neighborhood of the Sur district.

7 PEOPLE DETAINED

The Diyarbakır Gendarmerie Crime Investigation teams formed a special unit to capture the perpetrators. First, all camera recordings in the area were collected. 735 hours of footage was examined in detail over 4 days, and 7 people were detained.

SUSPECTS PUT THEIR PHONES ON AIRPLANE MODE

It was determined that the suspects had put their phones on airplane mode during the incident. This way, they would not be detected in the base station records at that location. It was found that the suspects went to a gas station to divert attention after the murder, where they specifically appeared on camera.

MESSAGE SENT TO FATHER REVEALED

It was revealed that one of the suspects, Ali Mert İldeniz, sent a message to the murdered Remzi Sati saying, "Come to the scene."

CONFESSED TO THE MURDER DURING INTERROGATION

Furthermore, it was determined that to frame someone else, he sent messages to others from Remzi Sati's phone after killing him. İldeniz confessed to the murder during his interrogation.

KILLED OVER 200 THOUSAND LIRA

The suspect stated that there was a 200 thousand TL debt issue between him and the victim, and that he killed the father and son he called to the scene with his own gun. The suspect explained that he tried to destroy the evidence by setting the vehicle on fire with cologne and gasoline.

Among the suspects sent to the courthouse, Ali Mert İldeniz and 3 others identified as having assisted him were arrested. 3 others were released, 2 of whom were under judicial control.
