Speaking at the funeral, father Ramazan Özdemir said, "My child had enemies. They brutally killed him, they cut off his head. The punishment for this should be death. Justice should be served as soon as possible."
The horrific murder committed in Isparta has caused a great uproar. On Friday morning, a headless male corpse was found near a burned vehicle in a mountainous area in the village of Aydomuş, located in the Keçiborlu district of Isparta.
IDENTITY REVEALED
In the investigation, it was determined that the body belonged to 39-year-old shepherd Ferdi Özdemir, who was reported missing in the village. The identity was confirmed after his relatives were brought to the area for identification. Gendarmerie teams found that Özdemir's head was severed from his body, and extensive security measures were taken in the region. Ferdi Özdemir's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy after investigations at the scene.
SEARCH OPERATIONS INITIATED IN VILLAGE HOUSES
To find the missing head of the corpse, gendarmerie teams launched a search operation with cadaver dogs in the morning. While the land searches were completed by noon, searches were conducted in some houses deemed suspicious in the village in the afternoon. It was reported that search operations are ongoing, and 5 suspects have been detained in connection with the incident.

In a statement made on the social media account of the Isparta Governorship, it was stated, "On December 5, 2025, the lifeless body of our citizen F.Ö., whose bodily integrity was compromised, was found near a burned vehicle in the village of Aydomuş, connected to our Keçiborlu district. Efforts to clarify the murder, which is considered to have been committed brutally, and to capture the perpetrators are being carried out decisively and continuously by all our units. The judicial investigation is ongoing in a multi-faceted manner under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. No one should doubt that the perpetrators will be caught and brought to justice as soon as possible."
"THEY HAVE CUT OFF MY SON'S HEAD"
His funeral was held today in the village of Aydomuş, connected to the Keçiborlu district, and he was buried in the village cemetery after the funeral prayer. During the ceremony, Özdemir's mother clung to her son's coffin, crying and lamenting, which broke hearts. Father Ramazan Özdemir fainted while crying during the ceremony.
Speaking after the funeral, father Ramazan Özdemir said, "They have killed my child, they have cut off his head. His head is severed from his body. He had enemies. I want those who did this to be found as soon as possible. They should face whatever punishment there is. They have cut off my child's head; the punishment for this should be death. We know that 4 people have been detained. Probably two of them are people he had conflicts with before. My child had his breakfast in the morning and left the house saying, 'I am taking the goats to the mountain.' There was nothing suspicious in his behavior. The place he was going to is only a 5-minute distance, but that day he lingered there for 17 minutes. After we couldn't reach him, we called. His brother found him in that state. I want justice to be served as soon as possible."
