In 1993, Cengiz Şişman bought a village in Erzurum with 30 households and named it "Yeşil Vadi" (Green Valley). Over the years, the population of the village decreased. Şişman, who had been engaged in animal husbandry on this 6,000-acre land for a long time, moved to Çiftlik Mahallesi, which is right next to the village, due to loneliness. However, Şişman continued to visit his old village every day and increased the value of the village by planting apple trees on his land over the years. Although Şişman could not find a buyer for the village that he put up for sale for 10 million TL in 2021, he did not consider the low offers he received and increased the price of the village to 50 million TL. Şişman, stating that "Yeşil Vadi" (Green Valley), just like its name, is waiting for its new owners, said that he made this sales decision inspired by the movie "Züğürt Ağa" (The Agha of the Beggars). INSPIRED BY ZÜĞÜRT AĞAAccording to the news in Sabah newspaper; Cengiz Şişman, who stated that he decided to sell the village because he was financially struggling, said, "I named this place Yeşil Vadi (Green Valley) myself. I named it inspired by the movie I watched in Yeşilçam. Now, I am selling this village inspired by Yeşilçam again. I am selling this village just like Şener Şen said in the movie Züğürt Ağa. When I bought this village in 1993, there were 30 households living here. Over time, the people living here migrated to the city," he said. "I SPENT ALL MY MONEY HERE"Şişman, stating that the village is built on 6,000 acres, said, "I came here to do animal husbandry, but this place exceeds my financial capacity. I spent all my money here, now I am struggling. I cannot make good use of this place. There is no one else here except me. I don't want to leave here, but I have to," he said. "I WANT 50 MILLION LIRA"Şişman, who stated that he received high offers for the village but has not sold it yet because they did not offer the amount he wanted, said, "If I had the power, I wouldn't sell this place. There are businessmen who are very good at making use of places like this. I want 50 million lira for this place. I am tired of being here, both physically and financially," he said.
