The fire that broke out after Ukraine's drone attack on an oil refinery in the city of Tuapse in Russia's Krasnodar region has still not been extinguished. While teams continue their efforts, footage from the area has caused alarm.

Efforts to extinguish the fire at the oil refinery in the city of Tuapse in Russia's Krasnodar region, which broke out as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), continue.

OIL REFINERY BLAZING AFTER ATTACK

Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, in a statement on his social media account, referred to the fire at the oil refinery in Tuapse following a UAV attack by the Ukrainian army.

Kondratyev, stating that he was at the scene, noted that firefighting efforts are ongoing and recorded the following:

"164 personnel and 46 vehicles are involved in firefighting efforts. These numbers will be increased. Residents of houses near the oil refinery are being evacuated. A temporary accommodation center has been set up for this purpose. The situation is difficult, but controllable."

"UKRAINE CONTINUES TO DESTABILIZE ENERGY MARKETS"

In a statement from the Kremlin Palace, it was stated that Russian Emergency Situations Minister Aleksandr Kurenkov informed President Vladimir Putin about the situation regarding the fire in Tuapse.

The statement, noting that Putin instructed Kurenkov to reach the scene as soon as possible and bring the firefighting efforts at the oil refinery under control, added: "The Kiev administration, with its actions, continues to increase oil shortages on world markets and destabilize global energy markets."

UKRAINE HAD STRUCK THE OIL REFINERY WITH UAVs

A fire had broken out at the oil refinery in Tuapse as a result of a UAV attack launched by the Ukrainian army today.

Previously, a fire had also broken out at the Rosneft oil refinery in the Tuapse Port as a result of Ukrainian UAV attacks. Oil from the port, located on the Black Sea coast, had leaked into the Black Sea. Efforts to clean the sea of oil are continuing today as well.

Russia's largest oil company, Rosneft's only oil refinery on the Black Sea coast is located in Tuapse. Known as Russia's oldest oil refinery, this strategic facility processes approximately 8.6 million tons of crude oil annually, and 90 percent of the oil produced is exported from the port here. Since 2024, the refinery has been periodically targeted by Ukrainian UAV attacks.
