In the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission delegation that went to İmralı, MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız provided information about the 116-page report prepared by his party during today's meeting of the commission. Yıldız stated, "We also listened to Abdullah Öcalan. Let me say this upfront; the listening session went very positively. There is no negative element in it. I hope this country will be freed from all shackles and will distribute legal order to the region first and then to the world."

'Terror-free Turkey' target continues to be pursued by the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, which convened today for its 19th meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). In his opening speech at the meeting, TBMM President Numan Kurtulmuş stated that the commission's listening process has been completed and that they have now moved on to the reporting phase.

FIRST MEETING AFTER THE IMRALI VISIT

The meeting holds particular significance as it follows the contacts made by commission members in Imralı last week. It is expected that the details of the visit made by AK Party Deputy Chairman and Hatay MP Hüseyin Yayman, MHP Deputy Chairman and Istanbul MP Feti Yıldız, and DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit will be conveyed to the commission.

MHP'S YILDIZ: WE ARE ON THE THRESHOLD OF A HISTORICAL OPPORTUNITY

Speaking at the meeting, MHP's Feti Yıldız shared his impressions regarding the meeting in Imralı and provided information about the report prepared by his party.

Stating that a 'terror-free Turkey' is a national and historical goal, Yıldız continued: "The crucial point of this target is the establishment of internal peace and tranquility on solid and healthy foundations. The goal of a terror-free Turkey is the most significant step and initiative in the history of the Republic. At this stage, there will be no concessions or slightest hesitation regarding the existing goals. The Turkey century we are in is also a century of peace, revival, tranquility, and brotherhood. We will ensure that we become a single body with every good person in our nation, without separating, dividing, or seeing anyone as different, in the direction of common decisions, fate, and sorrow. A terror-free Turkey is one that has fortified unity and solidarity. We will hopefully gather the fruits of the peace saplings we have planted together. The aspirations of those who are pursuing provocation will remain unfulfilled. No one has the right to waste and squander this high level. Any attitudes and behaviors in the opposite direction will inevitably be interpreted as resistance against the nation and the state.

Statement from MHP's Yıldız on 'Imralı': The meeting went very positively

We are on the threshold of a historical opportunity. It is about a terror-free Turkey and the realization and declaration of a precise and historical policy. Our Turkey is at a level of resilience, security, and hope like never before. No one has the right to waste and squander this high level. The unfortunate fate stemming from separatist terrorism is changing day by day. We have started to see the heartwarming results of this. Soon, hopefully, it will develop even further.

"WE LISTENED TO ABDULLAH ÖCALAN IN IMRALI, IT WENT VERY POSITIVELY"

Since the commission was established, or rather since the process began, the fact that none of our security forces has even had a scratch is the greatest gain. This cannot be described in words. Those who are against a terror-free Turkey are absolutely those who feed on blood. Both our nation's and the local people's most fundamental human rights must certainly be ensured. Achieving a reputable and secure life should not be considered an expectation for the entire region. Steps must be taken now. The new century has become a century of rise. At the same time, we must unite in peace and brotherhood as a sign of fate and pride. For this reason, our Gazi Assembly established this commission, and we have listened to people from all walks of life for days. Finally, we also listened to Abdullah Öcalan, the founder of the PKK, on Imralı Island. Let me say this upfront; this listening went very positively. There is no negative element in it. I say that this country will be freed from all shackles and will distribute legal order to the region and then to the world."

"WE WILL SEND THE DRAFT LAWS TO THE ASSEMBLY TOGETHER"

Yıldız stated that they prepared a 116-page report as a party, saying, "Our report contains political and legal evaluations. There are mostly political evaluations. Legal evaluations will certainly be presented in the joint report that our commission will prepare, not in our reports. In other words, we will send the draft laws that we see as beneficial for writing, removing, and presenting to the Assembly together."

Feti Yıldız noted that they would submit the report to the TBMM Presidency after reviewing it one last time, stating, "I emphasize this for the legal regulations to be made; the situation on the ground, namely the surrender and destruction of weapons, and the complete removal of the organizational structure and affiliated entities, regardless of what name they may have, must be done. This issue must be identified by the state's security units, and after the official authorities declare that the actual existence of the organization has ended based on these identifications, let us resolve together any obstacles in front of our democracy and brotherhood."
