A miracle occurred in a chain collision in Başakşehir, Istanbul, where it was reported that one police officer was martyred. 4 PEOPLE IN SERIOUS CONDITION
The accident occurred around 09:00 on the North Marmara Highway Başakşehir-Habipler Connection road. The accident involved a service vehicle with the license plate 34 LHU 912, which was carrying police officers, and a car with the license plate 34 EYG 499. While the service minibus was able to stop by hitting the barriers, the car fell onto the median. Upon notification, a large number of fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In the accident, 30 people were injured, 4 of whom were in serious condition. It was stated that 17 of the injured were police officers.
MIRACLE IN THE ACCIDENT! POLICE REVIVED WITH CPR
In a statement made by the Istanbul Governorship, the following expressions were used:
"On Monday, March 30, 2026, around 09:00, the service vehicle carrying police officers crashed into the barriers at the North Marmara Highway Başakşehir - Habipler connection point. In the traffic accident that occurred on the North Marmara Highway, 1 of our police officers lost his life, and 1 was seriously injured along with 17 police officers.
Long-term CPR was applied to our police officer who lost his life during the transfer to the hospital and while in the hospital. In the final stage of the CPR, our police officer's heart was restarted, and our colleague was brought back to life. In the accident, 30 people were injured, 4 of whom were in serious condition. The treatments of the injured continue in the hospitals they were taken to."
