While the male corpse found by the pond in Malatya has caused a wide stir in the area, images of the moments leading to the drowning have emerged. The footage, recorded by two individuals who could not enter the water because they could not swim, captures the last moments of the person in the water, while their conversations evoke the sentiment that "humanity is dead." The person recording the video can be heard saying, "Just let it go, you'll give a statement to the police until morning."

A male corpse was found by the pond in Malatya. While images of the moments of drowning emerged, a work was initiated to identify the individual.

The incident occurred at the pond located in the Beylerderesi Viaduct area of the Yeşilyurt district. According to the information obtained, a person who went to the area for a trip with a group of friends noticed an individual in the water during the daytime. Although the person recorded the individual with a mobile phone camera and called out for him to come out of the water, he was unsuccessful.

SCANDALOUS WORDS IN THE RECORDING

Citizens who could not enter the water because they did not know how to swim saw that the individual remained motionless on the water's surface after a while. The conversation in which those recording the drowning moments used the phrases "Just leave it, you'll give a statement to the police until morning" drew great backlash.

THEY SENT THE FOOTAGE

The individuals who left the area later contacted Cahit Zafer Leventoğlu via social media, explaining the situation and sending the footage they recorded. Upon Leventoğlu's report, police, health, UMKE, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. As a result of the search efforts, a male corpse was found by the pond.

EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATION INITIATED

It has not yet been determined whether the individual entered the water voluntarily or fell in, while an extensive investigation related to the incident has been initiated. The individual's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy.
