CHP leader Özgür Özel, who visited the Felicity Party, responded to the question regarding the granting of permission for an investigation into Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş. Özel said, "In the 2023 elections, Mr. Erdoğan, as a presidential candidate, was going everywhere with the vehicle allocated to him by the state as the President. Despite all warnings on this matter, the sensitivity shown by those who used an Ankara Metropolitan Municipality vehicle while going to the Karabük rally, despite not having shown sensitivity before, is truly commendable."
Republican People's Party Chairman Özgür Özel met with Mahmut Arıkan at the Felicity Party Headquarters as part of his political party visits within the scope of the "by-election" call. Speaking at the joint press conference held after the visit, Özel reiterated his call for early elections, stating that a by-election is a constitutional necessity.
Özel said, "We agree on the necessity of holding a by-election in accordance with the mandatory provision of the Constitution," and argued that Turkey cannot continue with the current administration, expressing that early elections should be held.
"ALL STATE RESOURCES WERE USED"
Responding to a question regarding the investigation permission granted about Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Özel referred to the 2023 elections and used the following expressions:
"This is a development that occurred while we were inside, and our colleague responsible for the press just gave information about the matter a short while ago. The main debate of the 2023 elections was this. I remember it. Mr. Erdoğan, as a presidential candidate, was going everywhere with the vehicle allocated to him by the state as the President, and without adhering to any of the rules required by democracy, such as not holding official opening ceremonies a certain period before the elections, governors not accompanying him when he went, as was applied in the previous parliamentary system, he was using all the state's resources, using all the state's protocols, performing openings, and saying 'I am the President.'"

"SENSITIVITIES ARE COMMENDABLE"
Continuing his statement, Özel said, "Actually, at that time, he was going to rallies as a presidential candidate, but he was doing these things. Despite all warnings on this matter, the sensitivities of those who did not show sensitivity before, regarding the use of a vehicle of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality while going to the Karabük rally, are truly commendable. But when I learn the other details of the matter, what is it regarding the inside? I will make another evaluation."
MEETING WITH KURTULMUŞ NEXT WEEK
Özel also stated that they requested an appointment from the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, and announced that the meeting is planned for next week. Expressing that they continue their political party visits, Özel stated that the issue of by-elections on the Parliament's agenda creates a significant responsibility.
