Selçuk Fidan (46), who lives in the Yunusemre district of Manisa, experienced a great panic when the horse he rode during a weekend trip to Bolu with his family started to act up and run. The moments when Fidan jumped off the horse, which stopped to graze after about 300 meters, were recorded with his mobile phone in his pocket.

Selçuk Fidan, a factory worker and father of two, participated in a cultural and village tour in Bolu with his family. Fidan rode a horse that his son Berat Emir (8) had decided at the last moment not to ride. As Selçuk Fidan recorded with his phone camera, he panicked when the horse suddenly started to run uncontrollably. Fidan shouted, 'It's going! Stop!' and, frightened, put his phone in his pocket without being able to stop the video recording to hold onto the horse. The speeding horse ran for about 300 meters towards the forest and stopped next to some stray horses in the area. Seizing the moment, Selçuk Fidan jumped off the horse and escaped the incident unscathed.

'I JUMPED OFF THE HORSE'

Describing his experience, Fidan said, "While I was filming nature with my phone, it suddenly made a sharp turn. In that excitement, I threw the phone into my pocket. The horse sped up, we were going at a speed close to 70 kilometers. I thought my wife and family didn't see me as I passed by them. When we entered the forest, I thought it wouldn't stop anymore. But after 300 meters, it stopped on its own. As it started grazing with the other horses, I immediately jumped off."

'IT BECAME AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT'

Selçuk Fidan stated that he was shocked when he reached the horse's owner, saying, "He told me, 'How professional you are.' I replied, 'I'm not a professional, the horse got away from me.' When I turned to my family to tell them, they first said 'Get well soon,' then they couldn't stop laughing. When the video went viral on social media, many people called, both wishing me well and laughing. This incident will remain an unforgettable memory in my life," he expressed.

'I WANT TO DO THIS SPORT'

Despite the danger he experienced, Fidan expressed his interest in equestrian sports, saying, "I wish I had the opportunity to go and give that horse a sack of feed. From now on, I won't give up on this. I want to do this sport with experienced instructors. It's really enjoyable, but it definitely needs to be done under the guidance of a trainer," he said.
