The footage of the moment when writer Eylem Tok and her son were captured has emerged, 106 days after the accident in which 17-year-old Timur Cihantimur, who was driving without a license, caused the death of Oğuz Murat Aci in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district.
The unlicensed driver Timur Cihantimur, who caused a fatal accident in Eyüpsultan, Istanbul on March 1st and fled to Egypt, and later to the USA, along with his mother Eylem Tok, was captured in the USA. The moments of their capture while being on the run were captured on the police camera.
PLACED IN THE POLICE VEHICLE AFTER A BODY SEARCH
In the footage of the mother and son being arrested by the Boston police, it can be seen that Cihan Cihantimur is the first one to be apprehended. After a body search conducted by the police, Cihantimur is then placed in the police vehicle.

ALLEGATION OF "INTENTIONAL CAPTURE"
Hacı Orhan, the lawyer of the family of Oğuz Murat Aci, who was killed by Cihan Cihantimur in the hit-and-run accident, stated that although the duo's residence is in New York, they were "intentionally" captured while enrolling in school in Boston, and the police waited in front of the school for a long time to make it clear that they were taken from the school. Orhan also mentioned that they planned this situation because the trial process in Boston is different.
EXTRADITION CASE TO TURKEY POSTPONED UNTIL JULY 1ST
The second hearing of the case regarding the extradition of Eylem Tok to Turkey has been postponed until July 1st. No information was provided about the reason for the postponement. Tok will be defended by two different lawyers in the new hearing.
