FUNERAL RITES TO BE HELD IN 3 CITIES
Iranian media reported that Tehran Municipality Deputy Head of Social and Cultural Affairs, Mohammad Amin Tavakkolizadeh, shared the funeral program for Iran's former leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Tavakkolizadeh stated that funeral rites have been scheduled in 3 cities for Khamenei but did not provide details on the dates.
TO BE BURIED IN MASHHAD
Tavakkolizadeh, who said the funeral ceremony in Tehran is expected to last at least 24 hours, then stated that the body will be transferred to the city of Qom and finally to the city of Mashhad for a similar ceremony. Emphasizing that the details of the program will be announced shortly, Tavakkolizadeh expressed that Khamenei's final burial place is planned to be at the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.
