In Istanbul, the first hearing continues in the case of 47 defendants who are accused of transferring emergency patients to the neonatal units of private hospitals they had previously agreed upon, causing their deaths and making unjust profits.
During the hearing held in the courthouse's conference hall by the Bakırköy 22nd High Criminal Court, 22 detained defendants, including the detained defendant Fırat Sarı, 8 of whom are women, 19 non-detained defendants, and the parties' lawyers were present. Some non-detained defendants connected to the hearing via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS) from the courthouses in their respective cities.

Ambulance driver detained defendant Gıyasettin Mert Özdemir stated that he is married and has children, and his monthly income is 40 thousand lira.
