BYD's car carrier ship "BYD Changzhou" has arrived in Turkey after a 39-day journey. The ship, which has a capacity of 7,000 vehicles, docked at Safiport Port in Derince, Kocaeli on April 5th.
BYD, one of the world's leading electric vehicle manufacturers, plays a significant role globally with its new energy vehicle technologies, battery production, and eco-friendly logistics solutions. In parallel with the increase in sales figures of BYD in Turkey, BYD's advanced technology car carrier "BYD Changzhou" set sail from Ningbo Port in China on February 25 to make deliveries to Turkey. After approximately 39 days of travel, it arrived in Turkey on April 5.
THE SHIP BECAME THE CENTER OF ATTENTION
The arrival of the giant BYD Changzhou ship, which has a capacity of 7,000 vehicles, at Safiport Port in Kocaeli Derince attracted great interest. The BYD Changzhou, which was captured on camera while passing through the Dardanelles Strait and Osmangazi Bridge, reached Safiport Port.
CARRYING 7,000 VEHICLES
With a length of 199.9 meters and a width of 38 meters, the BYD Changzhou efficiently carries out large-scale shipments with a gross tonnage of 69,250 GT and a net tonnage of 21,400 NT. Thanks to its capacity to carry 7,000 vehicles, the BYD Changzhou delivers the brand's vehicles to international markets quickly and safely. The ship, which prioritizes sustainable transportation, operates with a dual-fuel propulsion system and significantly reduces carbon emissions by using LNG (liquefied natural gas).
