In Konya, police teams initiated an investigation regarding the show that took place during a girl asking ceremony, which became a trending topic on social media. As a result of the investigations, the identified individual was taken into custody and fined 15,000 lira for the offenses of 'Deliberately Endangering Public Safety' and 'Traffic Safety'.
According to the information obtained, on Monday, June 23, a large group closed the road and walked to the bride's house with torches during a bride-request ceremony in the central Selçuklu district of Konya.

Following the spread of these images on social media and in the press, numerous reports and complaints were made to the police department by citizens. Upon the complaints, the Selçuklu District Police Department teams initiated an investigation and identified the groom candidate as M.E.Ö., who was subsequently detained. Legal action was initiated against M.E.Ö. for the crime of 'Deliberately Endangering Public Safety' related to the tumultuous bride-request ceremony.
A FINE OF 15 THOUSAND LIRA WAS IMPOSED
Additionally, M.K. and Ş.Y. were fined 15,163 TL for obstructing the vehicle road, driving disrespectfully in a way that disrupts public peace, endangering traffic safety, and using decorations and accessories that obstruct visibility, and 60 penalty points were added to their driving licenses. The individuals were referred to the police central command due to the traffic safety violation. It was learned that the groom candidate M.E.Ö.'s license had previously been revoked due to dangerous lane changes and similar offenses.
