Hundreds of public vehicles are waiting for their buyers. Vehicles that have been decommissioned from various public institutions are being sold at low starting prices. The auctions will be conducted through online platforms. This aims to contribute to public finances while also providing citizens with the opportunity to purchase affordable vehicles.

The Privatization Administration (ÖİB) has started the sale of 1200 public vehicles as part of austerity measures, with the auctions being conducted through the "www.eihale.gov.tr" website in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade.

As part of the Public Savings and Efficiency Package, it was decided to liquidate surplus and economically obsolete vehicles in the public sector. The Privatization Administration (ÖİB) has been authorized to carry out the sales of vehicles and construction machinery on behalf of public institutions, and the institution has completed its work in this regard.

According to information obtained from ÖİB, this initiative aims to sell public vehicles in a short time, organize the inventory, contribute to the public budget with the revenues generated from the sales, and achieve savings in the public sector.

SALES ARE CONDUCTED THROUGH AUCTIONS

For the sales process, cooperation was established with the Ministry of Trade. ÖİB is also conducting the auctions through the "www.eihale.gov.tr" website, where the Ministry sells vehicles that are stuck in customs, using the open bidding method. This aims to facilitate the rapid conduct of auctions in an electronic environment.

It is important for real and legal persons to register on the "www.eihale.gov.tr" site to be able to purchase the vehicles put up for sale, to regularly follow the announcements, and to participate in the auction after depositing a cash guarantee. The auctions will conclude after the highest bid is received. The vehicle purchased as a result of the auction must be collected from the relevant public institution, and individuals must register it in their name.

The state continues its efforts within the framework of savings and efficiency measures. Recently announced details for public vehicle auctions have started to become clear. In the sales conducted through the e-Auction website, the starting price has been set at 250,000 lira.
