In the Turgutlu district of Manisa, 16-year-old grandson B.K.G. stabbed his 73-year-old grandmother Nazen Gümüş during an argument. Gümüş, who later died in the hospital, had her grandson taken into custody.
In the Turgutlu district of Manisa, grandmother Nazen Gümüş (73), who was stabbed in the neck by her grandson B.K.G. (16), died in the hospital where she was taken. The incident occurred around 21:30 in Tarabya Street, Subaşı Neighborhood. According to allegations, B.K.G. argued with his grandmother Nazen Gümüş while they were at home. During the argument, the cause of which has not yet been determined, B.K.G. stabbed his grandmother in the neck and behind the ear. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Heavily injured grandmother Gümüş was taken by ambulance to Turgutlu State Hospital by health teams. Despite all interventions here, Nazen Gümüş could not be saved. The suspect B.K.G. was detained by police teams.

It was learned that the deceased Nazen Gümüş came to visit her son living in Turgutlu from Sivas, and that the suspect grandson B.K. lived in Mersin with his mother, who is divorced from his father, and came to visit. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
