The landslide that occurred in Sivas virtually split the region in two. The deep cracks formed after the melting snow and heavy rainfall not only caused the road to close but also unsettled the villagers.

The landslide that occurred in the field and the cracks that formed on the road in the village of Başıbüyük, connected to the center of Sivas, have unsettled the villagers.

The incident took place in the Yenipınar area of Başıbüyük village, located about 20 kilometers from the city center. After the melting snow and the recent heavy rains, a landslide occurred in the region. Due to the landslide, which affected an area of approximately 5 acres, deep and wide cracks formed on the connection road between Başıbüyük village and Çukurbelen. Noticing the situation, the villagers informed the AFAD and Provincial Special Administration teams. The teams that arrived in the area took security measures and started an investigation. The road was closed to traffic as a precaution. AFAD teams warned citizens to be careful.
