The Turkish Grain Board has announced the hazelnut purchase prices for the 2024/2025 season. Accordingly, the purchase price for Levant quality hazelnuts is announced as 130 TL, while it is 132 TL for Giresun quality hazelnuts. In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that the purchase of hazelnuts with shells will start on August 19th and the purchases will be made by appointment, as in previous years.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced the hazelnut purchase prices for this season. The price of levant hazelnuts, which was 82.50 Turkish lira per kilogram last year, has been increased to 130 lira this year. The purchase price of Giresun quality hazelnuts, which was also announced as 84 lira, has been announced as 132 lira this year.
The statement from the Ministry is as follows: "The Turkish Grain Board hazelnut purchase prices have been determined as follows before the harvest period in order to meet the storage and financing needs of hazelnut producers and to address any difficulties that may arise from marketing. The hazelnut purchase prices for the 2024/2025 season based on 50% sound kernel hazelnuts are determined as 130 TL/kg for Levant quality and 132 TL/kg for Giresun quality."
HOW MUCH WILL THE HAZELNUT PURCHASE PRICE BE WITH SUPPORT?
When the field-based support, diesel, and fertilizer support provided by our Ministry to the producers are considered together, the price will be 133 TL/kg for Levant quality and the average price will be 135 TL/kg for Giresun quality.
INCREASE OF 1.30 TL PER YIELD
In addition, an additional price of 1.30 TL/kg will be given for hazelnuts with high yield (for every +1 yield above 50% yield).
PURCHASES WILL BE MADE BY APPOINTMENT
The Turkish Grain Board has completed all technical infrastructure, storage, personnel, and financing preparations for hazelnut purchases. Our producers will be able to make appointments with TMO workplaces, www.tmo.gov.tr, and e-government starting from August 12th. Hazelnut purchases in shell will start on August 19th and will be made by appointment as in previous years.
Our producers should take maximum care to dry their products properly to avoid any problems due to moisture when delivering their products to TMO. We wish our producers a successful new harvest season and hazelnut purchase prices."
