The heavy rainfall that occurred yesterday in the Borçka district of Artvin paralyzed life. The centuries-old cut stone bridge, which provided passage for both vehicles and pedestrians in the region, collapsed due to the overflow of the Aksu Stream. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries as no one was on the bridge at the time.

The moments of the collapse of the three-arched cut stone bridge, which has been culturally significant in the district center for many years and was recently restored, were also captured by security cameras. In the footage, the bridge suddenly collapses from the entrance as the floodwaters rapidly flow over the stream, while nearby youths can be seen quickly running away from the area.
